Brisbane Teenager Arrested After Fatal DUI Near SFO


SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO – 19-year-old Joshua Matthew Maldonado was taken into custody on numerous felony charges in relation to the accident that happened on Friday and left 2 individuals dead. The accident occurred near San Francisco International Airport.

According to the police, Maldonado was going southbound just before midnight on Airport Boulevard at the speed of 80 mph when his motor vehicle collided with another motor vehicle at the intersection of Pine Boulevard. The vehicle got out of control as it changed its direction after the collision.

2 individuals who were riding in the car were thrown out after Maldonado’s car hit 2 trees and was nearly sliced in half.

An 18-year-old woman from San Francisco and a 21-year-old man from Brisbane were travelling in the car driven by Maldonado. They both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The cops charged Maldonado with:

  • DUI
  • 2 counts each of second-degree homicide
  • Gross vehicular manslaughter
