On Sunday, a 19-year-old South San Francisco man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol following a head-on collision near Junipero Serra County Park in San Bruno, according to the police.
San Bruno police officers and emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Crystal Springs Road near Cunningham Way that happened around 12:11 a.m.
The accident happened when a black Chevrolet Camaro traveling west on Crystal Springs Road crossed over the center line and hit a white Ford Explorer traveling in the opposite direction head-on, according to the investigation.
The police said that the drivers of both vehicles and the passenger in the Camaro were all taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
19-year-old Hugo Gutierrez, who was driving the Camaro was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence.
