Santa Rosa Man Arrested On Monday For 3rd DUI Since May


SANTA ROSA – On Monday, 23-year-old Israel Orozco Castellanos was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol for the third time since May.

According to CHP Officer Jon Sloat, Castellanos was found unconscious by the cops around 1:30 p.m. in the driver’s seat of a Ford Mustang. The passenger door of the vehicle was open and Castellanos was holding a bottle of beer in his hand when the cops approached his car. The location was the right shoulder of U.S. Highway 101 near the downtown Santa Rosa overcrossing.

The cops evaluated him for drunken driving and took him into custody.

He was behind the wheel without a driving license.

Before this, he was taken into custody on 1st of July for DUI at Sebastopol Road near Burbank Avenue. He was pulled over for a mechanical violation and the cops came to know that he was drunk after they interviewed him.

He was also taken into custody on 9th of May as a cop observed his vehicle weaving on Todd Road. He threw a bottle of beer from the window of the vehicle and a cop saw it. He was pulled over and issued a field sobriety test which he failed. The intoxication test showed his BAC level double the legal limit.
