FREMONT, Calif. – 3 individuals lost their lives in a multi-car crash that was caused by a person behind the wheel who was driving under the influence of marijuana.
21-year-old Nguyen Hai Tran caused the crash and he was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana.
The offender was charged for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
On Wednesday, victims were identified by the Alameda County Coroner’s office as 14-year-old Christy Limas and 9-year-old Brooke Limas. The third individual who lost their life in the accident was a 39-year-old female.
All the victims were from Manteca.
